Sudoku Journey

Privacy Policy

Effective September 26, 2026

Sudoku Journey ("the app") is a puzzle game made by Marian Pavel ("we"). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your game progress stays on your device, and we use a few trusted services to keep the app stable, understand how it's played, and show ads that keep it free.

Information stored only on your device

Your journey progress, stars, statistics, settings and any game in progress are saved on your device. We don't receive this data. Deleting the app deletes it.

Information collected by services we use

Firebase Analytics (Google)

Helps us understand how the game is played so we can improve it, for example which levels players finish or find too hard. It collects app usage events (such as a level started or completed, hints used and ads viewed), device information (model, operating system and version, language), an app instance identifier, and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address. In regions where consent is required (such as the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), analytics storage stays off unless you allow it in the consent form.

Firebase Crashlytics (Google)

Sends a report when the app crashes or hits a serious error, so we can fix it. Reports include technical details such as the stack trace, device model, operating system version, free memory and disk space, and a random installation identifier. They don't include your name or contact details.

Advertising: Google AdMob

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. To show, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, Google and its ad partners may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Android Advertising ID), IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Non-personalized ads may still be shown when you opt out.

How the services handle data

Each service processes data under its own privacy policy:

Data is encrypted in transit. We don't sell personal information, and we don't collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.

Children

The app is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we'll help remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. Because analytics and crash data are tied to random identifiers rather than your identity, the easiest way to stop collection is to delete the app; you can also contact us with any request and we'll help, including forwarding it to the relevant service.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
